EU-Startups Summit – Malta 2025

The EU-Startups Summit was held in Malta for the second year running between the 24th and the 25th April.

This annual event brought together around 2,200 attendees that included founders, investors, startup enthusiasts, innovators and tech experts as well as a number of local and international speakers and contributors.

A key takeaway from the event was the news relating to the imminent launch of the Malta Startup framework regulations which are intended to set up a national startup one-stop-shop that will enable companies that meet the eligibility criteria to access purposely developed support for startups in a variety of sectors, primarily in business innovation.

During the event Malta Enterprise was lauded for the crucial role it played in supporting 190 startups during the course of the last five years, leading to the creation of hundreds of high-quality jobs across a variety of industries and sectors.  The results achieved were also certified by the European Startup Nations Alliance Report where Malta currently occupies the 4th place in the list of countries that support innovative startups within the European Union.

Malta therefore continues to solidify its efforts in promoting innovation and economic sustainability by consolidating and enhancing its reputation as a business oriented nation that provides the right building blocks and support for innovative business concepts to see the light of day, grow steadily and thrive.
